A great night where we celebrated the Raising of George Dacey to Master Mason. It is so good to have so many Raisings in a short while and George was chomping at the bit to complete his first journey into freemasonry.
We all had a great evening with over 45 attending the ceremony, accompanied by many of George’s friends and collegues. Well done George and look forward to seeing you continue your journey.
The 19th Loyal Manor Curry and Quiz met and competed on Saturday 16th March 2024, the first half seemed all too easy which was a mere warm up with some tough decider questions in the second half. And, who knew we were going to be tested on the Highway Code.
Over all a great night with more than 90 partcipants enjoying the quiz and a fine curry, raising more than £400 ponds for the buildimg fumd. Great work to all involvd in orgainising a great event.

On the 26th January 2024 Charlie Ellis was raised to Master Mason in the Loyal Manor Lodge No.6445. Here Charlie is pictured with our WM Gav Anderson-Terry, and Charlie’s Grandad W.Bro. Derek Sawtell, who is both IPM and Almoner for The Loyal Manor Lodge.
Charlie also holds the role of Assistant Secretary and we wish him all the best in his journey through Freemasonry.
Congratulations to Sam on his Raising to Master Mason on November 24th 2023. Sam is already taking an active role in the Lodge and is now our Inner Guard. This was also the first ceremony taken by our New WM Gavin Anderson-Terry. Well done to all involved.
Tuesday the 5th December, 2023: Loyal Manor Chapter no. 6445 met for the first time since the October Installation. Unfortunately MEZ John Travers was unwell and so was not able to attend but Ex Comp Roger Hart was gifted the opportunity to stand in, a task which he accomplished with great credit. Alongside him were Ex Comp Martin Dodd and Ex Comp Brian Barton as 2nd and 3rd Principles respectively. The Chapter welcomed an official guest in the person of Ex Comp Ralph Stone who was representing United Service Chapter no. 3473.
With no Exaultation planned the Chapter instead conducted a detailed explanation of the ceremony itself, prepared and presented by Comp Brian Sharrock, with the assistance of other Companions who each read out a section of the script which had been collated from the Masonic web resource Solomon. The presentation was not only helpful to those who have recently been through the ceremony themselves, but also to other Companions who are still on their journey to fully understanding the complexity of the ceremony of Exaltation.
On completion the Chapter, with guest, retired downstairs to the festive board, where, despite the relatively small number gathered, a very enjoyable and good humoured meal was had by all. During the evening a raffle was held, raising funds for local charity The Veterans Hub.
The Installation of our new WM Gav Anderson-Terry was carried out on the 27th October 2023, and the new team for the year put in place.
The evening saw a celebration of over 70 diners with 37 visitors from 14 Lodges and the Loyal Manor Lodge thank all of those for attending, not only the meeting, but also the dining to make it such a memorable event.
Many thanks also go to the Provincial Team, who stayed throughout the evening and the festival board playing their part perfectly.
You can contact Loyal Manor Lodge personally through the website Membership Enquiry, you will be given both a warm welcome and answers to all your questions.
For our first Lodge Meeting of the new season on the 22nd of September 2023 we were lucky to have a lecture, presented by W.Bro Sean Whelan a PM of the Football Lodge No. 9921.
The lecture was entitled ‘The Relationship between Football and Freemasonry’. This was a very engaging lecture and one many of the Lodge I am sure would recommend. You do not have to be a football fan to enjoy this lecture, although as pointed out by Sean it would be the Perfect Match. Many of members declared they were not football fans after the lecture, however the topic included the history of football and its many links to Freemasonry and proved to be very enjoyable to all who attended.
Sean also talked how this new and young lodge was consecrated on the 4th June 2016 and has a thriving membership with many new members having this Lodge as their Mother Lodge.
The festive board was very active and enjoyable with our WM Derek thanking Sean for a fantastic presentation. Sean brought with him three members of the Football Lodge and has welcomed us to visit in the future. Watch this space ⚽️
On Tuesday 25th July representatives of Loyal Manor Chapter visited members of local charity Friends Of MV Freedom. Ex Comp Bob Turner, along with ExComp Roger Hart, Charity Steward ExComp Bob Temple and Comp Chris Barrett, presented a cheque for £500 to the skipper, trustees and crew of the catamaran, which was at it’s berth at North Quay in Weymouth marina.
MV Freedom is a 10 metre motor catamaran that has been specifically designed and built to cater for wheelchair users and those living with disability, with it being used for twice-daily seasonal trips for passengers including those living with sensory impairments, military veterans, young adults, children and the elderly. The trained crew work as enthusiastic volunteers, as was most evident during our visit. With nearly 3000 trips already completed this year, their dedication and hard work is obvious and Loyal Manor is proud to support them. With running costs of £17,000 a year the Friends Of MV Freedom depend on donations, whether through fundraising or individuals/organisations providing funds directly.
They received the Queen’s Award For Voluntary Service in 2021 from Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant Angus Campbell in recognition of the amazing service that they provide and long may it continue.

The Loyal Manor members, friends and families met up for an informal Garden Party at the Radipole Manor for a leisurely afternoon in the gardens. It was great for all to get together and enjoy each others company, with fine weather and not to mention the great food supplied by all. Many thanks to Sarah and Paul Cormack for organising the event, and the many helpers and supporters, as well as those putting up the Marquee and Gazebos. The afternoon was rounded off with a group photo with the Radipole Manor in the background.
